Cancellation and Subscription Policy
Your subscription
Every website includes an automatically renewing website management subscription: $275/year billed annually, or $30/month billed monthly. The subscription covers hosting, maintenance, security, DNS, your included domain, monitoring, and minor content corrections, and keeps your website in operation.
Automatic renewal
The subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period (annually or monthly, as selected) until cancelled. The amount charged at renewal is the then-current subscription price for your plan.
How to cancel
To cancel future renewals, email info@archivenorth.ca. Cancellation applies to future renewals and takes effect at the end of the current paid period; service continues until then, and a billing period that has already started is not automatically refunded, subject to this policy and applicable law.
The billing portal
The customer billing portal (linked from your purchase confirmation and reminder emails) is available for updating payment information, viewing invoices, downloading receipts, and reviewing billing information.
What happens after cancellation
When the paid period ends, hosting and management stop and the website is taken offline. On request within a reasonable period, we will provide your content and facilitate the transfer of your domain to you, since you remain its beneficial owner.
Refunds
Already-paid subscription periods are non-refundable except as required by law. The one-time website creation fee is non-refundable once work has begun, except as required by law.
Price changes
Subscription prices may change for future billing periods. Archive North will provide at least 30 days' written notice, or any longer notice period required by applicable law, before a price change takes effect. A price change never alters an annual term you have already paid; it applies only at a future renewal, and you can cancel before it takes effect.
Renewal reminders
For annual subscriptions we aim to send a reminder approximately 45 days before renewal, with the renewal date, the amount, any price change, cancellation instructions, and a billing-portal link.
Taxes
Prices are in Canadian dollars, plus applicable taxes. GST/HST Registration No.: [GST/HST number pending registration].
